Vernon C. Gantz – December 9th, 1936 ~ July 18, 2018

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Vernon Gantz who passed away on July 18, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was 81. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Schuster) Gantz.

Surviving with his wife are two children, Veronica Smith and her husband Timothy and Derrick Papparone and his wife Lee Anne; two step children, Diane Grimes and Michael Wolf and his wife Devera LeClaire; and three grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Gantz.

Items needed for VBS 2018

The planning for VBS continues! We are in the process of collecting supplies for some of our various crafts & activities.  The following items are needed:

  • kid-friendly juice boxes (i.e. Honest Kids or Capri Sun Naturals)
  • colored cardstock
  • kid-friendly stickers
  • Please leave donations in the collection box located in Fellowship Hall. Thank you!

Ruth Smith ~ December 10, 1923 – June 29, 2018

Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Ruth Smith who passed away on June 29, 2018, at The Community of Rockhill. She was 94. She was the beloved wife to the late Robert T. Smith who died in 1997.

Ruth is survived by a daughter, Elisabeth Smagalski and her husband Bill, a granddaughter, Jackie Camacho and her husband Tito, and four great grandchildren:  TJ, Josh, Logan, and Dylan.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas E. Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018, in the multi-purpose room at the Community of Rockhill at 2 pm. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Hillside Cemetery.
